Today’s youth are said to be developing spikes that resembles a horn at the back of their skulls. Researchers are arguing that this bone growth is due to the shifting of body posture while using mobile phones.

The outcome is a hook or a horn like structure that juts out from the skull just above the neck. These structures are given various named like ” head horns”, ” phone bones”, “spikes” or just “weird bumps”. Mobile phones and other handheld devices are said to be contorting the human form by making users to bend their heads forward. The study was published in Nature Research’s peer reviewed open – access Scientific Reports.
