Mark Zuckerberg’s security allowance increased to $14 million

According to Meta Platforms Inc, the security allowance given to Chief Executive and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and his family has been increased by $4 million to $14 million. This increased allowance is said to be necessary under the circumstances. This move comes when he cut thousands of jobs and slashed spending plans and Zuckerberg has called it the ”Year of Efficiency”.


Zuckerberg is 38 years old and is the 16th richest person in the Forbes billionaire list. He is said to have earned a compensation of about $27 million in 2021. However his pay package for the year 2022 has not yet been disclosed. It has also been reported that Meta has delayed finalizing the budgets of multiple teams as it was preparing for a fresh round of job cuts.
