Spain defeated England 1-0 in the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 held on Sunday at Stadium Australia in Sydney, Australia. The Spanish team has a tournament best of 18 goals in the World Cup.

The goal came from Olga Carmona in the first half from the left wing and beat the England goalkeeper Mary Earps. This win has made Spain the second country to win both the men’s and women’s World Cups after Germany.
