Lakshmi, an Inspector attached to W-21 Guindy All Women Police Station won the first prize in the shooting competition along with A. Amalraj, Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters. City Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Agarwal bagged the second place in the competition.
It was conducted by the Tamilnadu Police Operations Unit at their campus at Raja Annamalaipuram. It had 3 categories namely 10 feet, 15 feet and 20 feet. A total of 536 officers from different departments including Law and Order, Crime, Armed Reserved, Intelligence, CCB, SCP and Modern Control Room participated in the competition. It was conducted in the presence of A. K. Viswanathan, Additional Director General of Police, Operations and Jeyachandran, SP Operations.
