Duping online retailers is becoming a trend in India. After a group of people duped Flipkart of Rs 30 Lacs a few months back, a duo tried to replicate the story. Atul Sharma, a current Amazon employee, with Naveen Kumar, a former Amazon employee, purchased an iPhone 6 from Flipkart in January this year. Upon receiving the delivery and making the payment, both reported to Flipkart that they received stones in their delivery instead of the handset. Being all ears to the complaint, Flipkart refunded the money.
But what the foolish duo didn’t know was that Flipkart had lodged a complaint with the police to find the phone. The police acted swiftly and traced the phone. It was soon disclosed that the phone was with a guy named Manish Sharma, friends with Naveen and Atul. Soon, the trio was arrested and were taught a lesson!
