Even though women farmers contribute enormously to the agricultural economy yet their services are not recognised.

The eight women were selected out of 35 farmers who attended a workshop in Bhubaneshwar. The workshop in the Philippines is slated from the 6th to the 10th of August. The selected women are from Uttarakhand, Assam, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. They will be trained in advanced farming experiences and technological advancement.
