Actress Dia Mirza got married to businessman Vaibhav Rekhi on 15 February as per Hindu rituals in Bandra. The ceremony was conducted by a woman priestess named Sheela Atta. Dia wore a red bridal saree with a matching dupatta. Her hair was tied in a neat bun while Vaibhav wore a white kurta-pyjama and teamed it with a beige turban. After the ceremony, the couple stepped out of their home and posed for the photographers. They even distributed sweets to the media waiting outside the venue.
Dia shared pictures of their marriage ceremony on Instagram that featured Atta seated besides them chanting mantras. Dia thanked Atta for conducting the entire ceremony in a wonderful manner. Many fans responded and posted comments praising Dia for highlighting the participation of a woman priestess as this would motivate more people to accept social changes.
This close-knit wedding affair at Dia’s Bandra residence had only family and friends. Her close friend Aditi Rao Hydari and actor producer Jackky Bhagnani were spotted at the venue.
Dia was earlier married to film producer Sahil Sangha. They were married for 11 years before they parted ways in 2019. Vaibhav was also married earlier. His first wife was yoga and lifestyle coach Sunaina.
