Lauren Barton,26, a teacher in a school in Ipswich, Suffolk, purchased a six pack of Clareca Court Braddock Whites Free Range Duck Eggs last month for £2.59. She purchased the smallest possible incubator and did an experiment. She popped half of the eggs into the incubator to see if she could hatch a duckling.
To her surprise, after 28 days, one of the eggs began to show cracks and 48 hours later a tiny duckling popped out. Lauren is completely thrilled and has named the fluffy duckling as Darwin. It has now become a part of her family. She finds it absolutely gorgeous and it seeks for attention all the time. Lauren plans to keep Darwin as a pet.
