Jitin Prasada’s entry into the BJP camp has come as yet another jolt to the Congress

Many senior leaders have been demanding for an organisational change within the party from August 2020 but not much has changed and most of the issues they raised have not been addressed. A disgruntled Jitin Prasada quit the Congress and joined the BJP which has  shocked many. He defended himself by saying that he wished to work for the people and joining a National party like BJP was the only way to achieve his goal. He further went on to say that it was not about power but about working for the people. “Congressmen are free to air their views… As far as my ideology is concerned, there’s only one — national interest.”

Meanwhile Sachin Pilot has also expressed his displeasure that the Congress High Command has not resolved issues as promised. In an interview he said, “It has now been 10 months. I was given to understand that there would be swift action by the committee, but now half of the term is done, and those issues haven’t been resolved. It is unfortunate that so many of the party workers who worked and gave their all for getting us the mandate are not being heard.” It remains to be seen how many more leaders will exit the party to find better pastures.
