British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak issued an apology for briefly removing his car seat belt to film a social media video while driving to a destination in north west England.

It is compulsory for passengers in the UK to wear a seat belt while travelling by car unless they have a valid medical exemption. Those who don’t wear their seat belts are liable to pay a spot fine of 100 pounds and can go up to 500 pounds if the matter is taken to court.
A spokesperson of the PM stated that the Prime Minister had made a mistake and that he believes that everyone should wear a seat belt.
Rishi Sunak filmed a video to promote his government’s new Levelling Up Fund announcements to fund over 100 projects in the country.
