Too much or too less sleep can enhance risk of heart disease

According to a new study, men who sleep less than six hours daily face the risk of cardiovascular disease compared to those who get seven-eight hours of sleep.


The study proved that sleep of less than six hours enhances the chance of atherosclerosis by 27% when compared to those who get seven to eight hours of sleep.

Atherosclerosis causes the build-up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in human body. But, women who had more than eight hours of sleep had an enhanced chance of atherosclerosis, added the study.
