Suspect in Koodathayi murder case admits purchasing cyanide

The second suspect in the Koodathayi serial murder case , M. S. Mathew has admitted that he purchased cyanide from one Prajikumar, the third suspect in the case for Rs 5,000/. However he strongly contended that he procured the same as the first accused Jolly had told him that she wanted to kill rats with it and that he was not aware of the murder intentions of Jolly.
The Special Investigation Team had interrogated Jolly’s husband,  Shaju Zachariya and his father for about 10 hours. They have recorded the statements of the first accused Jolly, her parents and her three brothers.  An astrologer Krishnakumar who was also interrogated said that he didn’t remember if Jolly and her husband had met him. The Superintendent of Police who heads the technical investigation team held discussions with the other investigation officers and examined the statements of the three arrested persons in the case.
