The UK Prime Minister who visited India for the G 20 Summit along with his wife Akshata Murty had visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi. This is Sunak’s first official visit to India since he became PM.

Security was tightened in and around the temple. While Rishi Sunak wore a formal shirt and trousers, Akshata wore a kurta and palazzo set. They visited the temple early in the morning and were given a traditional welcome.
They were greeted by swamis and senior leaders from the temple. The British Prime Minister was given a description of the 100 acre spiritual and cultural complex that not only promotes Hindu messages of faith and devotion but also portrays the traditions and ancient architecture of the country.
The couple paid respects to the sacred images inside the temple and admired the art and architecture of the temple.
