Rishi Kapoor passes away

Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away at a hospital in Mumbai this morning. He was 67. He was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital yesterday morning after his health condition deteriorated. He was battling cancer for the past two years. He even went to the US for a year to get treated for leukaemia. His end came at 8.45 a.m and doctors and hospital staff said that he remained cheerful till the end.

Rishi is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima. He made his debut in Bollywood as a child artiste in the film Mera Naam Joker and even received a National Award for his performance. His first film as an adult was Bobby in the year 1973 with Dimple Kapadia as the heroine. This film made him an overnight star. He was last seen in a webseries titled ‘The Body’ on Netflix.
