Lockdown extended till May 17

Lockdown period in India has been extended for a period of 2 weeks from May 4. The country has been colour coded into Red, Orange and Green Zones. The rules will be the strictest in the Red Zones where the positive cases of Covid 19 are the highest. Slight changes will be allowed even in these zones.

All manufacturing activities of essential goods, IT hardware, packaging material and the jute industry will be allowed to function in staggered shifts with social distancing. Shops selling non essential goods and malls will not be permitted to open. Standalone shops in the neighborhood and in residential complexes will be allowed to open. No salons, spas or barber shops will be open. Private offices can operate with 33 percent strength. All agricultural activities will be permitted.
