Actor Rajinikanth had plans of entering into politics and started the Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM). Now due to health issues, he has decided not to enter politics and has therefore decided to dissolve the Rajini Makkal Mandram. However, his fans will continue to undertake welfare measures through the Rajinikanth Fans Welfare Clubs.
Rajini returned from the US last week after a health check up and met the RMM district secretaries at his Raghavendra marriage hall on Monday. He also released a statement after he met reporters that he had dissolved the Rajini Makkal Mandram after he reiterated his decision not to get involved in politics in the future. It will however continue to function as Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram (Rajinikanth Fans Services Forum) for public service.
