The overseas rights for the much awaited entertainer ‘Subramanyam for Sale’, starring Sai Dharam Tej, have been acquired by Classic Entertainments (USA). The film has been directed by Harish Shankar who has delivered the super hit blockbuster/highest grosser Gabbar Singh with Pawan Kalyan. The film, which is scheduled to release on September 23 has tunes composed by Mickey J Meyer.
Buzz is that Mahesh Babu will grace the music launch of Akhil Akkineni’s debut film ‘Akhil’, which will be held on 20 of this month. The much awaited film is being directed by V.V.Vinayak and the music is being composed by Anoop Rubens and Thaman. The film is almost done with the production and is set for release in October.
Post the success of Baahubali at the box office, Prabhas has become a hot property in the brand space. Apparently, several brands from cars to fitness have started approaching the actor to be the face of their products. Prabhas has recently signed Mahindra SUV, and has also been approached by several other brands.
Director Ashwin Saravanan, who is debuting with the forthcoming Tamil supernatural horror drama “Maya”, says actress Nayantara’s love for genre helped in the making of the movie. Apparently, “Maya” will emotionally resonate with the audience, also stars Robo Shankar, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli and Reshmi Menon in important roles. The film has been dubbed in Telugu as “Mayuri” and will simultaneously release with its Tamil version.
Nandoo has dubbed for Tamil actor Arya in upcoming romantic comedy “Size Zero”. “I’ve dubbed for Arya in ‘Size Zero’. It was so much fun. I closely follow Arya’s work and it was an honour to dub for him,” Nandoo says. Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, the film features Anushka Shetty as an obese woman and Arya as her husband and fitness trainer.

Suriya would once again be joining hands with Hari for Singam 3 once he completes his ongoing bilingual project with Vikram Kumar. This movie starring Surya, Anushka Shetty is ready to commence from 15th of November.
Actress Shruti Haasan will be the new addition to the ‘Singam’ family. It was earlier reported that Anirudh might be roped in to compose music for Singam 3 but it seems that Devi Sri Prasad is back who had composed music in Singam and Singam 2.
Vidya Balan ,the National Award-winning actress is going to be seen in the biopic titled Albela, based on Bhagwan Dada‘s life. She is set to play the role of the iconic star Geeta Bali. “It’s an honour to be playing the effervescent Geeta Bali even if it is just a special appearance, and to be recreating ‘Albela’ for a Marathi biopic on Bhagwan Dada,” Vidya said in a statement.
The biopic, on Bhagwan Dada, is about the late actor-director’s life and the difficulties he faced while making his 1951 released musical “Albela”, which featured Geeta Bali, who was a popular star then. Vidya Balan was suggested for this role by senior make-up artist Vidyadhar Bhatte, who had worked with her in the past when director Shekhar Sartandel was keen on casting someone with a truly Indian face for Geeta Bali’s role.
Looks like Pooja Hegde is all set to put aside her ‘girl next door’ tag and get into the glamor mode for her Bollywood debut in Hrithik Roshan’s period drama Mohenjadaro. The latest we hear is that Pooja and Hrithik will shoot for a steamy scene, shot in an aesthetic way. Apparently the scene will come at a very crucial point in the Ashutosh Gowariker directorial.
Bollywood actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey finally announced their separation after months of speculation in their marriage. They were married for 5 years and have a four-year-old son Haroon.
The duo announced their separation on their respective twitter accounts where Konkona Sen posted “Ranvir and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you,”. Ranvir Shorey also posted a similar statement that read, “Konkona and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son.
