Actress Nithya Menon will play the role of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha in the biopic titled “The Iron Lady.” The film is being directed by A. Priyadarshani.
There are plans to release the film on February the 24th the birthday of Jayalalitha. The film will show her life right from her days as a young actress to her final days in the hospital. Many actors were reluctant to be a part of the film given the political situation in the state. There will be two more films on her life. One by filmmaker Vijay and another by veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja who is also toying with the idea.
