A bronze statue of Melania Trump has been installed near her hometown in Slovenia to replace the wooden statue that was damaged in an arson attack in July this year. Artist Brad Downey unveiled the bronze statue in Slovenia, the place where the US First Lady grew up. According to him, the local residents were very supportive of the work and he installed the statue as a donation to them.
The wooden statue that was put up earlier was sculpted by local conceptual artist Ales Zupevc, better known as Maxi. He was also invited to attend the unveiling of the bronze statue on Tuesday. The local police have still not found out who has damaged the original sculpture which is now on display ad part of an exhibition in the Slovenian town of Kroper.
