Ace filmmaker Mira Nair has been honoured with the Jeff Skoll Award for Impact Media at the TIFF Tribute Awards Ceremony. The award was presented to her by Bollywood actress Tabu. She is one of the six recipients of the award, the others being, global icon, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet, Chinese American filmmaker Chloe Zhao, Canadian director Tracey Deer and musician Terence Blanchard.
Mira is known for her pathbreaking films. The TIFF Tribute Awards is an annual fundraiser that forms part of the festival and is considered to be one of the most important launching pads for cinema.
