Murder accused Aaftab undergoes Polygraph test

Aaftab Poonawala, accused of the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar underwent a marathon polygraph test for nearly eight hours yesterday at the Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi. He was asked around 40 questions. The test is also called the lie detector test and the accused may be called again for the second session.


The Delhi Police have recovered five knives from the flat of Aaftab. However, the saw allegedly used to cut Shradda’s body is yet to be recovered. This gruesome murder has attracted political attention and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured that strict punishment would be given to the accused in the minimal possible time,
Sources from the police department said that the recovered knives were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination to ascertain if they were used in the commission of the crime.
