Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor met newly crowned Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu and congratulated her for bringing home the crown after 21 years.
He posted pictures of his meeting with Sandhu on Twitter. Meanwhile Sandhu is excited to be back in India to spend New Year and the holidays here. The country is also proud of her achievement and is happy to welcome her back.
Shashi Tharoor stated in his post that Sandhu was poised and charming in person just as she was on stage.
Sandhu, the Chandigarh based model, thanked Shashi Tharoor for his kind words and tweeted in response to his post that it was an honor for her to get to meet him in person.
Sandhu defeated Nadia Ferreira from Paraguay and Lalela Mswane from South Africa to win the Miss Universe 2021 pageant.
