Dr. Matteo Bassetti, the head of the infectious disease clinic at the San Martino hospital has some good news to convey. According to him, the coronavirus appears to have become less potent, is weakening and could disappear on its own. What started off as an aggressive tiger in March and April has now turned into a wild cat.
The reasons for the weakening of the virus is attributed to the lockdown measures taken by governments, social distancing measures and the wearing of masks. He says that the virus could be eradicated even before researchers get to discover a vaccine for the same.
