Gautam Adani, Founder and Chairman of Adani Group has overtaken Mukesh Ambani who is the Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited to become the richest person in India.
Adani’s net worth is currently $89.5 billion while Mukesh Ambani’s net worth is $89.4 billion. Gautam Adani is the founder of the Adani Group which is the largest port operator in India. He has recently tied up with South Korea’s POSCO to explore business opportunities and to establish a green, environment friendly integrated Steel Mill at Mundra in Gujarat. He has also signed a non-binding MOU with POSCO for collaboration in various industries like renewable energy, hydrogen and logistics etc.
The others in the top five richest persons list in India are Shiv Nadar, Radhakishan Damani and Lakshmi Mittal who stand in 3rd, 4th and 5th positions respectively.
