Indian e-commerce major Flipkart has launched a new campaign featuring leading Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with an aim to strengthen its fashion vertical. With the India Ka Fashion Capital campaign, Flipkart aims to widen its customer base across India to boost sales of its fashion arm.
Flipkart has witnessed continuous growth in the fashion vertical over the years and along with its fashion arms Myntra and Jabong control two-thirds of the country’s online fashion market.
The campaign will be live on television and digital platforms, for a period of eight weeks until July showcasing a wide collection of Indian and western wear for men and women. Flipkart is banking heavily on its fashion vertical for growth in the Indian market and eyeing 50 percent market share by 2023.
