Starting May 1st, Covid Vaccine is open to all above 18 years
As India faces the second wave of the Corona virus, the government has given permission to make the vaccine available to all Indian citizens above the age of 18 years. Though there has been a shortage of vaccines across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has today assured the citizens that more vaccine doses , oxygen and hospital beds will be made available and that there is no reason to panic. He requested everyone to follow Covid protocols and to follow rules set by the Government. Strict regulations have been imposed in Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and UP. Kerala has imposed night curfew from April 20th. Travel to India has already been banned by meany countries. PM Narendra Modi confirmed that the state governments have been told that lockdown should be the last resort to be followed in the event of not being able to contain the pandemic.
