Blue Origin flight that carried Jeff Bezos to space enters Guinness world records

0

Even though Blue Origin is under review over claims that it ignored safety concerns to gain an advantage in the space race, it has managed to get into the Guinness Book of Records. It carried Jeff Bezos and three other passengers to space in July this year.

The flight set four world records as it strengthened the emerging sector of space tourism which is now available for the millionaires and billionaires of the world. The flight carried four passengers on the company’s New Shephard spacecraft above the Karmen line for a period of three minutes before returning to earth.
The four world records include- the oldest person to go to space,( 82 year old Wally Funk, an aviator) the youngest person to visit space (19 year old Oliver Daeman, a high school graduate), the first siblings to visit space (Jeff and Mark) and the first suborbital spacecraft to carry paying customers.
Blue Origin has announced its next crewed launch on October 12.
