Bill Gates drives electric auto rickshaw on his trip to India

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on a visit to India was seen driving an electric auto rickshaw. He shared this video on his Instagram handle and the video has gone viral. The billionaire drove through various roads wearing a suit and tie and he seemed to have enjoyed the ride.


He captioned the post as ”India’s passion for innovation never ceases to amaze”. The electric auto rickshaw can carry up to 4 people and can travel upto 131 kms. The auto has been developed by the Mahindra Group. It has zero emissions and does not make noise.It will greatly contribute to the decarbonization of the transportation industry.
Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra thanked Bill Gates for checking out the electric rickshaw and even invited him to participate in a three-wheeler drag race with him and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
