Evergreen singing queen Asha Bhosle celebrated her 87th birthday yesterday. She was born into a musical family and holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most recorded artist in the history of music.
One among five siblings, she followed in the footsteps of elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. After the demise of their father, Lata become the sole breadwinner for the family. Soon Asha made her singing debut at the tender age of 10 in 1943 for a Marathi film. Asha celebrated her birthday with her children and grandchildren. She had her favourite fresh cream fruit cake made of fruits and dry fruits and also her favourite Chinese and Japanese food. She is thankful for her beautiful family and said she cannot ask for more..
