Amy Winehouse’s dress to go up for auction

The green and black bamboo print dress that singer Amy Winehouse wore for her final performance at a concert in Belgrade in 2011 will be auctioned in California.
The dress is part of the 800 item collection of her personal stuff ranging from garments to books and DVDs.The dress designed by Naomi Parry is expected to fetch between $15,000 and $20,000. Her heart-shaped custom-made handbag made by Moschino is also up for sale. These items are being put up for sale by Amy’s parents Mitch and Janis.


Amy passed away in July 2011 due to acute alcohol poisoning. She had a long struggle with alcohol and drugs.
The proceeds from the sale will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation that supports young adults battling addiction. The 400 plus-page catalogue that is put together by Jullien’s is a walk-through of her career and her style that made her a fashion icon. The auction this weekend in Beverly Hill is expected to raise around $2 million
