American Indian Neera Tanden to be nominated as Budget Chief

US President elect Joe Biden has plans to nominate Neera Tanden, an Indian American as Director of the Office of Management and Budgets. It will be subject to Senate approval. Neera was born in 1970 in Bedford, Massachusetts to immigrant parents from India.
She studied law at Yale Law School, University of California and is currently the Chief of the Center for American Progress. She is basically a political consultant and has served in various capacities since 2003. She was the healthcare advisor in former President Barack Obama’s administration and an advisor for Democrat Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
