American first couple visit Taj Mahal

The U.S. President Donald Trump and wife Melania visited the Taj Mahal and spent almost an hour at the wonder of the world. They were accompanied  by their daughter Ivanka and son- in- law Jared Kushner. They were mesmerized by the beauty and diversity of Indian culture. All of them posed for pictures before the monument of love and wrote in the visitors book. Their visit had garnered a lot of excitement among the local residents. Some of them even displayed banners welcoming Trump.  About 15,000/ school children lined up on both sides of the route to the Taj Mahal and held US and India flags. They cheered the US President as his motorcade passed by.

Trump was all praise for Modi and called him a ‘ true friend’. He described Modi as ” a tremendously successful leader.” A giant billboard featuring Trump and wife Melania greeted the couple with the words “Grand welcome of India’s best friend to the City of Love- Agra ” They were entertained with various folk dances by 250 artists from different parts of Uttar Pradesh.
