Being an actor is not at all easy as they have to look beautiful on and off-screen, keep their body fit, and even go through basic dancing to excel the songs in the industry. However, few of these stars are trained extremely well even before they became actors, and here is a list of celebrities who are professional classical dancers.

Taapsee Pannu

Shriya Saran

Shriya is an accomplished dancer and was first trained as a child by her mother in Kathak and Rajasthani folk dance. She was involved with many dance performances at her early age.

Simran

Simran who is known for her dance moves is a trained dancer in Bharatanatyam and Salsa.

Radhika Apte

Radhika received her training in contemporary dance from London. She is also trained in Kathak her performances have been highly applauded.

Manju Warrier

Manju Warrier is a trained Kathakali and Bharatnatyam dancer. As much popularity, she holds for her acting, she is that famous for her dancing.

Shobana

Shobana is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and one of the most famous ones in the country. The actress won a Padma Shri for her contribution to the art. She became an independent dancer in her twenties and runs her own school in Chennai.

Rukmini

Rukmini is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and holds a BFA degree from the Boston Conservatory in Ballet and Modern Dance. Rukmini Vijayakumar is the artistic director of Raadha Kalpa dance company.

Amala Akkineni

Amala holds a Bachelors’s degree in Bharatanatyam from Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts. She has given many live performances worldwide.

Revathi

The actress is actually a professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer and has been learning since the age of 7. The actress did her Arangetram in Chennai.
