Women from all castes, religions and political ideologies made history by forming a human wall along the 620 on national highway stretch from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram. It was the longest wall in the history of the state. The historic event passed off peacefully.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the wall was a warning to communal and orthodox sections. The women formed a wall on the left side of the National Highway and the men and children assembled on the right side to express their solidarity. Health Minister K.K.Shylaja was at the starting point in Kasargod and CPM Politburo member Brinda Karat was present at Ayyankali square, Vellyambalam the last point.
