Guinness World Records title holder Ayanna Williams from USA for the world’s longest finger nails has cut them after 28 long years. Dr. Allison Readinger of Trinity Vista Dermatology in Forth Worth, Texas had to use an electric rotary tool to cut the lengthy nails after measuring them for the final time.
Ayanna’s nails measured 733.55 cms and she parted with them after an emotional bitter-sweet goodbye. She had dedicated over 28 years to grow her nails. Even as a kid, she loved nails and nail art. She has fond memories of asking her mother to measure them and paint them in certain colours.

She was first recognised for her tremendous talons in 2017 and entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2018. At that time, her nails measured 576.4 cms and she required over 2 bottles of nail polish and 20 hours to do her manicure. Recently, she required 3-4 bottles of nail polish and it took her few days to complete her manicure.
Ayanna found it difficult to do her day to day duties like washing the dishes and putting sheets on the bed because of her long nails. However, this entire journey has been a memorable one for Ayanna. Her fingernails will be preserved and kept for display at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in Orlando, Florida and Ayanna is pretty excited about it.
