The Vishaka committee headed by ADGP Seema Agarwal met at the office of the State Crime Records Bureau and began their enquiry into the allegations of a woman Superintendent of Police against an Inspector General. The AGDP said that action would be taken after investigation and the enquiry would be conducted as per procedure.
Both the woman SP and the IG would be summoned for the enquiry if necessary she said. The woman SP is currently on medical leave. She had approached the State DGP and the Home Secretary with her complaint seeking action against her superior. She had alleged in her complaint that the IG tried to sexually assault her when she entered his chamber for official work.
