Team India, who are currently involved in a bilateral series against England, are staying in Ahmedabad in a bio-secure bubble as part of the protocols. The Hyatt Regency hotel in Ahemdabad and its staff have taken it upon themselves to make the cricketers and their families feel at home, despite being away from their homes.
The hotel and the staff have arranged special nameplates for the cricketers to put outside their rooms with their names, giving them a feeling of home instead of a Room No. Not just the players’ names, the staff has also put up the names of the players’ families including children. For e.g., outside skipper Virat Kohli’s room, there are three nameplates, that of Virat, his wife, and actress Anushka Sharma, and their two-month-old daughter, Vamika.
Not just Kohli, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has also travelled with his wife Natasa Stankovic and his son Agastya. Opening batsman Rohit Sharma too has travelled alongside his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.
