It is the UK Prime Minister’s first visit to New Delhi. Boris Johnson will be holding talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding boosting trade and security ties with India.
He has offered to help India to build fighter jets by offering the best of British know-how on building battle winning aircraft. Currently only the European Union and the United States have such a license.

The UK and India are looking forward to collaborating on matters relating to climate change, energy, security and defence.
It may be noted that despite pressure from the United States, India has refused to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but has only called for an end to violence. India has also continued to buy oil from Russia.
