Footballer Lionel Messi bid a tearful goodbye to his club Barcelona. During his farewell speech, he broke into tears and his wife offered him a tissue paper to wipe his tears.
This tissue paper went up for sale and a man who sat at the front row of the same press conference purchased it for $1 million.
Messi became very emotional during his farewell speech. He said that he was in the team since he was 13 years old and that he was grateful to the club, his teammates and former players. According to him, many beautiful things took place in the club which have made him the person he is today.
Messi was one of the standout players for team Barcelona and he was a treat to watch as he exhibited sheer brilliance on the field. His most memorable moment was the time he made his debut as it was his dream come true.
He recently joined French team Paris Saint Germain on a 2 year contract.
