The police have found a shocking incident where a gang of youth have been sexually abusing more than 50 girls who are studying in schools and colleges in Pollachi and have been robbing them of their jewels as well. However none of the girls have lodged a complaint. The police have formed two teams to arrest the youth involved in the offence.According to the police, Sabari Rajan an engineering graduate residing at Pollachi Jothi Nagar had befriended a college student on social media.
After exchanging phone numbers, the youth requested the girl to go out on a date. He picked up some of his friends as well. They took the girl to a deserted area, abused her and shot a video. After snatching her gold chain, they left her and escaped. The girl returned home and informed her parents who lodged a complaint. The police arrested Sabari Rajan and a couple of his friends. It was then detected that the same gang was involved in abuse of more than 50 school and college going girls.
