Three Chinese astronauts have arrived at China’s Space Station for a six month mission. They arrived in the Shenzhou -13 spacecraft and the launch was a success.
Chinese astronauts have been banned from the International Space Station by the US lawmakers in 2011 and China is therefore building a Space Station of its own. It will be ready by the end of 2022.

The three member crew- Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guanfu will stay in space for 6 months. This will be the longest mission to the station and they will help in its set up.
China is building a 66 ton Space Station which is named Tiangong. The crew will carry out tasks like mechanical arm operation, extravehicular activities and modules transfer. They will also verify a series of key technologies like long-term residence in space, recycling of resources as well as life support for astronauts.
