The father of Meghan Markle, Thomas Markle has sent a message to his daughter and son-in-law as they welcomed their second child wishing them good luck.
It has been reported that the relationship between father and daughter was estranged for some time. Thomas told the press that he was very happy to hear about the birth of his granddaughter and that he wished Meghan and Harry love and luck.

He was supposed to walk Meghan down the aisle when she married Prince Harry in May 2018 but pulled out as he had to undergo a heart surgery. Markle has not yet met his grandson Archie and it may take some time before he gets to meet his granddaughter Lilibet too.
Meanwhile Royal experts have suggested that the name Lilibet for the newborn appears to be an olive branch between Harry, Meghan and the Royal Family. Former palace press secretary Dickie Arbiter wrote for The Mirror “I’m surprised by Harry and Meghan’s choice of names for their daughter. It’s not unusual for families to name babies after a parent or grandparent.”
Harry will be next visiting the UK on the 1st of July when he will reunite with his brother Prince William to unveil a statue of their late mother Lady Diana.
