The Archeological Survey of India will be introducing breastfeeding rooms in the Taj Mahal. An  ASI official was inspired to bring about the initiative after he saw mothers struggling to feed their babies at the monument.

As per reports, the initiative will be implemented from July onwards, the nursing rooms will be fully equipped with fans, chairs, lights keeping the comfort of the mother in mind.

The ASI has decided that more monuments in Agra will also be fitted with baby rooms. The Taj will be the first monument in India to have this facility.  The Kerala Metro Rail Limited had earlier introduced breastfeeding rooms in metro stations to help mothers who find it difficult feeding their kids .
