South Indian food isn’t just sambar annam, dosa, idli and vada. There’s more to it than meets the eyes.
And to get a taste of what else South Indian food has to offer, you can go check out the Tamil Nadu Food Festival happening at Taj Banjara, Hyderabad till the 31st of this month.
At the festival find some delicious authentic Chettinad dishes. Between the Kozhi Melagu (chicken), Meen Varuval (fish), Karuveppillai Chicken Curry, Cinna Vengaya Vathal Kozhambu, Ambur Kozhi Biryani (chicken) and Kothu Paratha, you will find yourself wanting to go explore the rest of South India.
What we loved: The coconut water served as a welcome drink; the Kothu Paratha that reminded us of bread upma and the Ambur Kozhi biryani as well as the Ashoke Halwa.
