On April 7, a Super Pink Moon will be visible. It is what astronomers call as a perigean full moon. It will be a treat for stargazers especially during this lockdown period. The full moon of April is generally called the pink moon according to Native American culture and it indicates the colour that the moon will take.
It can be watched either at moonrise in the early hours of the night or at moonset just before dawn. The moon will appear 30 percent larger than on an average day. It will definitely be a spectacular sight if one watches it at the right time. At this time , the moon would be at it’s closest distance to earth at 356,907 kms from the earth.
