Muse Room, Kochi Gears Up With Some Out Of the World Music!
“‘Space Behind The Yellow Room’ merges with the Muse Room this time to kickstart a month of some out of the world Ambient/electronic music. This Bangalore based band plays sets that are usually loud and destructive. However, for the gig at Muse Room, two of the band members Shoumik Biswas and Devasheesh Sharma will be here to bring the audience, a more ambient/improvised experiment of sorts, through which the listener will be treated to downtempo, almost shoe gaze sound, that may move into pop at some point. Its going to be one of a kind ride, for sure!” says the Muse Room team, panampilly Nagar, Kochi.
About the Artists:
Growing up in Kolkata, Shoumik had started to play drums in high school. He played as part of Kolkata Pop rock band, The Monkey in Me. After moving to Bangalore to study design, Shoumik met Devasheesh, Tushar and Nihar, with whom Space Behind The Yellow Room began to exist. Soon after, he also began writing and producing music on his own as Disco Puppet, a more exploratory space where Shoumik could experiment with sounds.
Devasheesh Sharma – Devasheesh grew up in Bareilly, and was playing guitar since he was in school. He played guitar with Metal outfit, Resistance till he moved to Bangalore to study design. This is where Devasheesh met Shoumik, Nihar and Tushar. Recently, Devasheesh has also begun to explore electronic music and is also in an exploratory mood.
