Sitaram Yechury’s son, Ashish, dies of Covid 19!

After a two week battle with Covid 19, Ashish Yechury dies at Gurgaon hospital 

CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury’s son , Ashish Yechury died of Covid 19 after battling the disease for 2 weeks. He died at a hospital in Gurgaon. The senior leader took to social media to convey the sad news. He wrote,

“It is with great sadness that I have to inform that I lost my elder son, Ashish Yechury to Covid-19 this morning. I want to thank all those who gave us hope and who treated him – doctors, nurses, frontline health workers, sanitation workers and innumerable others who stood by us.”

Ashish was working as a journalist and had experience working with many publications in the last couple of years like Times of India and Network 18. Most leaders from across political parties in India expressed their shock and condoled his death.
