Sister Lucy Kalapura who joined in the protest against Bishop Franco has been dismissed by the Catholic religious order namely the Fransiscan Clarist Congregation. She was a resident of a convent in Wayanad. The reason given for the order of dismissal was that she was living a life against the style and substance of the Congregation and that she failed to heed canonical warnings.
It was also observed that she did not show any remorse or give any satisfactory explanation for her lifestyle that went against the laws of the congregation. The dismissal order is dated 5th August and she has been given 10 days time to appeal against the order from the date of it’s receipt. The dismissal order was issued by Superior General Ann Joseph of the Congregation for Oriental Churches. Sister Lucy said that she would take legal action against the inhuman order of dismissal.
