Congress MP Shashi Tharoor posted a picture on Twitter with six women Members of Parliament and captioned it ”Lok Sabha an attractive place to work”. This picture came at the start of the Winter Session of Parliament.
His tweet attracted a lot of negative comments, so the MP tweeted an apology. According to him,”The whole selfie thing was done (at the women MPs initiative) & it was they who asked me to tweet it in the same spirit. I am sorry some people are offended but I was happy to be roped into this show of workplace camaraderie. That’s all this is.”
Trinamool’s Nusrat Jahan, Mimi Chakraborthy, Amarinder Singh’s wife Praneet Kaur, NCP’s Supriya Sule, Congress’s Jothimani and DMK’s Thamizhachi Thangapandian were all smiles as they posed with Shashi Tharoor.
