Senior citizens in Chennai to get the booster dose at their homes

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has made arrangements for senior citizens to be administered with the booster dose of Covid-19 vaccines at their homes. Elderly people have been asked to call up the helpline number in order to book a slot.

People aged 60 and above with comorbidities can avail of this facility and can book this facility through emergency helpline 1913 or COVID helpline -044-2538 4520 and 044-4812 2300. This facility will also be extended to the elderly people who have not yet taken their first or second dose of the vaccine.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the booster dose against Covid-19 for healthcare and frontline workers and those above 60 years of age with comorbidities in the state on Monday. Those who have completed 9 months from the date of the second dose will be eligible for the booster dose.
